Have you ever wondered what happens when you leave a space?
How does it transforme itself? Does the energy shift? How do your pets entertain themselves? Do they act differently? Do they adopt new personalities?
Most of us adults often forget that as children, comfortably overwhelmened with imagination, we extended these thoughts to further realms. Do our pets morph into other beings? At the least, beings with speech. Do the potted plants start dancing by shaking their branches, coordinating with one another? Does the furniture come to life, even?
Yes, we dared! In adulthood, if we are lucky enough to channel our imagination into an actual career or hobby, we should acknowledge that valuable blessing.
As the confinement measures have mostly been lifted, here in Canada, all of us have started to leave the house more frequently and for longer periods of time. One must wonder – or perhaps the child in us must – are our furniture rejoicing? Are they finally getting these, once cherished, moments of silence and weightlessness?
They are probably partying when we aren’t around, no? Why not? Life is too short, even for them.
That being said, some deisgns are an exception to the rules, and there are many, rules that is. Michel Ducaroy’s Togo seatings are still very very relevant, functional and as iconic as when they were originally designed in 1973. It continues to be Ligne Roset’s best seller and now have sold over 1.2 million pieces over the world.
And that, is a reason to celebrate!

Although there are still things to fix, issues to resolve and matters to settle, we are proud that we not only dared to DREAM, but actually manisfested into reality: brought it to LIFE.
Determined.
No one was going to hinder our vision, ruin it or redefine it; not the partners, not their incompetences, not their egos, not their delusions. We did learn a lot throughout the project. And, we head to learn fast and wear many hats.
Yet, the most precious discovery of all was and still is that we finally realized that we were the masters all along.
The apprentice, no longer.
And, we lived happily ever after.
Celebrating!
“That old sorcerer has vanished
And for once has gone away!
Spirits called by him, now banished,
My commands shall soon obey.
Every step and saying That he used, I know,
And with sprites obeying
My arts I will show.”
– Goethe
